PCs (lvl 9): Elroy, Mor, Vica, Zip, Zullrik
Aegis says his goodbyes to the party, since he has decided to travel to the Mournlands to keep an eye on the Lord of Blades and his minions. The rest of the party takes the ferry to Galethspyre. When they reach the port town, they meet Zip, a kobold who claims to have lost a friend.
The PCs help Zip investigate the disappearance of his friend, and their search bring them to the colossal spire of stone that give the town its name. Further clues lead underwater, where the party finds a mystical portal that grants them access to the "inside" of the spire.
There they find ancient chambers decorated with mosaics depicting feathered serpents (the couatl) fighting against fiends with the help of dragons allies. In one of the chambers they discover a group of rakshasas about to sacrifice a couatl on an altar. The PCs spring into action, and attack the fiends.
