Aegis

Warforged, Armorer Artificer
Marine

Up until the Day of Mourning, 4EGI5 led a simple life. Commander told us where to go and what to do & that’s what we did, plain and simple. No questions asked. Foes were killed or brought in, items retrieved and information gathered.

When we were out on our last mission, news reached us that Cyre was gone. Not just defeated, but literally gone. Lt Gustam rushed us back home to find out if this was indeed true. When we reached the borders of our home, we couldn’t believe it, the entire country was wiped out without a clue as to what happened. We started roaming the country in search of anything that could tell us what happened and if any survivors were doing the same. It all went downhill from there.

We were ambushed by a group of Warforged following the Lord of Blades, some of which we fought beside us in the Last War. Although we were completely taken by surprise, we managed to escape, but at a terrible cost. Apparently magic no longer works as it should in Cyre & we learned that the hard way.

When Lt Gustam tried to clear a path for us to get out of the ambush, the spell misfired. Several of our party died in the following explosion and Lt Gustam lost his leg. I dragged him out of the mists, found a safe place to hide & constructed a prosthetic for him to wear, it’s not the best, but it’ll do for now.

When he was back on his feet, all we could do was trek to Sharn. Gather the materials and knowledge to fix his leg & try to find out what happened to Cyre.

Military life was a lot easier than this…

Retired (session 23): He decided to travel to the Mournlands to better investigate the threat posed by the Lord of Blades.
