Session 27

PCs (lvl 10): Zip, Elroy, Mor, Telkhad, Vica, Zullrik

The PCs continue their voayge north, eventually reaching the Greywall Mountains. Guided by divine providence, dreams, and survival skills, they leave the Orien Trade Road and make their way to the mountains.

They reach a forest of stone obelisks, where they meet a wise yakfolk. The creature guards the path that leads to the Pagoda of the Inscrutable Ones. The PCs persuade the mystic that they are pilgrims seeking enlightenment, and he allows them to continue their journey.

The party reaches the foot of the mountains, and they find the mythical 9,999 steps. They climb up the steps, each of them experiencing a different revelation from their ascent. When they reach the top of the stairs, they find themselves in a quite garden where several pilgrims are meditating. In the center of the garden, the Pagoda stands ominously.

The PCs disguise themselves as pilgrims, and gain entrance to the pagoda. They soon realize that the yakfolk have mystical powers to possess the pilgrims, and are using them for nefarious purposes. Among the pilgrim is also hiding Odys Redfearn, an investigative reporter from Sharn. The party and the woman agree to help each other uncover the truth.
